What is Natural lacquer?
Natural lacquer is harvested from the sap of the lacquer tree—a material with over 7,000 years of heritage. Each drop flows from the tree and is repeatedly refined and blended by skilled artisans, ultimately forming a finish that is warm like polished stone, exceptionally durable, and never fades. Known for its moisture resistance, anti-corrosion properties, and a sheen that grows richer with use, lacquer is celebrated as an enduring material of the East.”

How is Natural-Lacquer made?
①To collect lacquer:
artisans make two precise cuts on the tree’s bark—one above and one below. The sap slowly flows along the incisions, gathering at the lower point before dripping into a small container placed underneath.”

② Filtration:
removing any impurities that may have mixed in during the tapping process.

③ Curing the lacquer:
the raw lacquer is placed in a cool, ventilated space and stirred continuously to allow the moisture to evaporate naturally. (Fresh lacquer typically contains 20–30% water, but must be reduced to about 5–10% before it can be used for coating.)”

④ Blending the lacquer (coloring and adding materials)
Once the lacquer has been dehydrated, it can be adjusted depending on its intended use:
Adding raw lacquer, refined lacquer, or various auxiliary materials
⭐Tung oil: enhances flexibility
⭐Lacquer ash (fine clay powder): used for creating the foundation layer
⭐Gold or silver powder: for gilding and decorative finishes
⭐Mineral pigments (such as cinnabar, etc.): used for coloring
Mixing and maturing
The blended lacquer is stirred thoroughly and then allowed to rest, letting air bubbles dissipate and the texture become smooth and refined.

How a Handcrafted Natural-Lacquer Cup Is Made?
—— Handcrafted Craftsmanship: Built Through Dozens of Patient, Layered Steps
This lacquered ceramic cup is created using an intricate, traditional multi-layer lacquer process:
⭐Ceramic body molded and kiln-fired
⭐Multiple layers of natural lacquer applied, each left to air-dry naturally
⭐Fine sanding between layers, followed by polishing to a soft sheen
⭐Hand-applied textures and color layering on the surface
The result is a cup with deep, dynamic color transitions that reveal the artistry of true handcrafted work.
Because each lacquer layer must fully cure before the next is applied, every cup goes through dozens of steps and takes weeks—sometimes months—to complete. No two pieces are exactly alike.

The Bodhi leaf
⭐Wisdom ⭐Inner calm ⭐Personal growth
The Bodhi leaf comes from the sacred tree under which Siddhartha Gautama—later known as the Buddha—attained enlightenment more than 2,500 years ago. As he meditated beneath its branches seeking clarity and peace, he reached a profound awakening that forever transformed his understanding of life. Since then, the heart-shaped Bodhi leaf has become a timeless symbol of wisdom, inner calm, and personal growth. Its delicate veins are seen as pathways toward clarity, reminding us that peace is found through patience, reflection, and staying grounded. Today, the Bodhi leaf continues to represent protection, positive energy, and the courage to evolve, making it a meaningful emblem to keep close in everyday life.
